Seeing a macro shot of water droplets is not uncommon, but this image is truly extraordinary and unlike any other I have seen before. In any macro shot detail is important, and from the crisp curving lines of the feathers to the intricate reflections this a great image. The title really drives the concept sadness home, along with cool tones of the picture. Yet the emotion does not take away from the beauty, it actually enhances it. This shot isn't just "pretty to look at" it really tells a story. It leaves one with a feeling of wanting to see and know more. Very well done!
